1. Explore the beaches
Costa Rica seriously has all the beaches you could ever dream of. From black sand, white sand, rocky, tropical, surfing, you will have so many different options to choose from. Make sure you bring your swimmers because you will definitely need them and get ready to visit some of the top beaches you will ever see !
2. Surf
Head to the pacific coast of Costa Rica for some amazing surfing experineces. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced surfer there is something for everyone. Also, if you are wanting to learn there are plenty of surf schools. For a beginner I highly recommend Ticos Surf School in Samara for awesome teachers and perfect waves
3. Release baby turtles
If you are in Costa Rica the ultimate experience you could have is releasing baby turtles by moonlight. They are such amazing littlecreatures and watching hundreds of them waddle towards the tide is something you will never forget!
4. Hike
Costa Rica has 26 national parks and the hiking opportunities are endless. Whether that’s up the side of a volcano, through the rainforest or even to a waterfall. You will love getting out in nature and seeing all the new plants and animals.
5. White water rafting
Head to the Rio Pacuare for some awesome white water rafting action! Book a 3 day tour with Rios Tropicales and immerse yourself within the Costa Rican jungle while you stay overnight at their eco lodge. Even if you are visiting Costa Rica in the dry season there will still be the chance to white water raft thanks to the tropical climate!

7. Zip Line
Flying through the trees, witnessing the most amazing landscapes, if you’re in Costa Rica ziplining is a must! 8. Visit Hacienda Guachipelin at Ricon De La Vieja
Hacienda Guachipelin has enough activities to keep you amused for days. Horse riding? Check. Tubing? Check. Jumping off waterfalls? Check. Snakes and frogs? Check. Massive bulls? Check. On top of all this they also have an amazing property in Ricon De La Vieja National Park and one of the best buffets I have ever had!
9. Arenal Volcano National Park
Arenal volcano National Park is located in La Fortuna and it is an outdoor lovers paradise. Full of numerous activities such a ziplining, canoying, hiking and opportunities to visit waterfalls you will be kept very busy. Then, afterwards relax in the most beautiful hot springs at Baldi Hot Springs.
10. La Paz Waterfall Garden
Located not too far from San Jose is La Paz Waterfall Garden. This place is seriously amazing, show casing numerous animals including jaguars, snakes, butterflies, basically anything you could ever want in a zoo. But, it also leads you on a hike, towards two amazing waterfalls.

Ah, went there last year and was lucky enough to do a few of these things! Really would loved to have seen some itty bitty turtles, but it was unfortunately the wrong season.
